Pelagia

Pelagia met Melody when the Birds of Wisdom were performing in Greece several years ago, and the two quickly became the best of friends.

Pelagia lives on the island of Kefalonia, but she makes a point of visiting the Birds at least once a year—and she never arrives empty-handed. There is always baklava, usually cardamom buns, and often a suitcase filled with treasures from wherever she has been.

The band has become extremely fond of this tradition.

Pelagia travels all over the world and seems to make friends everywhere she goes. She talks about the Birds of Wisdom along the way, too, which has helped the band land gigs in some wonderfully unexpected places.

Like many birds in this flock, Pelagia loves to read, especially fantasy novels. When she's visiting and isn't spending time at Sis's Kitchen, you'll often find her at the Little Library & Book Nook.

The children there adore listening to her read.

They especially love her accent.

On her travels, Pelagia collects teas, spices and jewelry, and she usually brings a few treasures back for the flock.

Nobody knows exactly what will come out of her suitcase next.
