Birdie

Birdie is one of the vocalists for the Birds of Wisdom. She hasn't been singing nearly as long as her girlfriend, Wren, but she has a soft, mellow voice that blends beautifully with the rest of the band.

Her true passion, though, is acting—especially mystery theatre. Birdie loves intrigue, unexpected twists and trying to figure out what's really going on before anyone else does.

Acting is how she met Wren. The two were working on a movie called Fly Away Baby, and from Birdie's point of view, at least, there wasn't much mystery about what happened next.

It was love at first sight.

Birdie also collects the fortunes from fortune cookies. She has hundreds of them tucked into little envelopes and turns her favorites into tiny pieces of art, which she gives as gifts—most often to Wren.

Then there's Pistachio, Birdie's dog and occasional rehearsal companion.

Pistachio isn't particularly impressed by rock and roll.

But put on some cool jazz?

He's all ears.
